The Greenbriar Inn was built in 1908 and is on the National Registry of Historic Places. Located in downtown Coeur d'Alene, just four blocks from the lake, it is an ideal location for weddings, receptions, retreats, seminars and holiday gatherings. It has been totally restored and decorated with an eye to elegant simplicity and comfort with a mix of antique and replica furnishings. We offer 2000 square feet of space on the main floor, including a living room, dining room, parlor and sunroom for indoor events. A 150-foot wrap-around deck surrounds the sunroom and looks out over the garden and gazebo, where many have married during the summer months. Brick patios in the front of the house and a shady porch are ideal for fair weather use. Both the decks and patio provide umbrella tables for outdoor dining. The Greenbriar Inn is handicap accessible and offers two public bathrooms as well as two changing rooms with private baths for our clients and their guests. Facility rental charges will vary based on the size of the group, nature of the event and the duration of time requested. Please call us for details on this.

The dining room can seat up to 100 people, and for casual receptions we can accommodate even more on the main floor. We have hosted parties of up to 250 people with the combination of indoors and outdoors. There is a place inside as well as outside for a DJ if you so desire. Also, we have a sound system that plays throughout the house and outside the house, if you have CD's or tapes that you would like to play. We also have a piano that is available for you to use. We have a full liquor/wine/beer bar on the main floor if you wish to provide alcoholic beverages to your guests, or if you prefer, we can run a cash bar (No-host) if that is your preference. Please remember that our facility is only available for evening Weddings on Sundays, or Mondays, because the restaurant is scheduled for Tuesdays through Saturday nights!  However, we can host smaller parties during restaurant hours, or daytime hours for Weddings, as well.

East Indian Dinner at the Davenport Hotel

To help the Heart Institute Raise money, we donated a dinner for ten under our silk tent. We had six courses of Indian food, and complemented it with Thai beer and a coconut alcoholic drink, or regular wines for the less adventuresome. Everyone wanted to sit under our tent, but only 10 lucky ones did! They loved it!

Tails of Tuscany

This was a fund raiser for the Kootenai Humane Society. The theme was tuscan, so we did a variety of Tuscan finger foods at this beautiful villa on the lake. It was a huge success, attended by more than 600 people!

Hospice of North Idaho

Every year since 1990 we have supported Hospice of North Idaho with our presence at the Hayden Country Club for the Hospice Wine Taste.  We support wholeheartedly what they do and appreciate beyond measure what they did for the owner's father, and mother.
